Crackdown on unlicensed contractors

August 10, 2007 12:00AM

A recent crackdown on unlicensed home-improvement contractors in New York City and the metro area has resulted in 200 criminal summonses or arrests and the seizure of more than 70 vehicles. The initiative — a joint effort between the consumer affairs agencies of New York City and Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester counties — was launched last month.
