Traffic plan would get federal funds

Mayor Bloomberg’s congestion pricing plan will get federal funding if it is ultimately approved by lawmakers, federal transportation secretary Mary Peters is expected to announce today. Up to five cities will be chosen to share $1.1 billion in federal funding aimed at helping them fight gridlock. Officials did not say how much of that total New York would receive. more [NYT]
