Brooklyn developer Joshua Guttman is expected in court on Thursday on charges of failure to maintain the Greenpoint Terminal Market . The 21-acre warehouse complex on the Greenpoint waterfront burned down in May 2006, and Guttman has made no repairs. The warehouse has brought his company $4.7 million in fines. The developer and his family also owe $59,000 in Department of Building fines and more than $52,000 in property taxes. Guttman continues to develop properties, despite Community Board opposition. He plans 2.6 million square feet of luxury housing for the former warehouse site, including a 35-story tower. more [Post]
