Work will soon begin on a 19-floor, $200 million rental apartment and retail building with a curved façde at the busy intersection of Broadway and 72nd Street. The project is being developed by Philip Pilevsky’s Philips International and Rhodes NY. Five retail floors will have 48,000 square feet. The site has been empty since several old buildings were demolished in the spring. The building, designed by Handel Architects, will have 196 rental apartments.
