The City Point tower being built at the Albee Square Mall site in Downtown Brooklyn could become Brooklyn’s tallest building if it reaches a planned 65 stories. That height would put it far above the Williamsburgh Savings Bank Building, now known as One Hanson Place. The 1.9 million square-foot tower will include about 500,000 square feet of retail space. About 280 hotel rooms are planned for the Greenberg Farrow-designed strucutre, along with 800 residential rental units and 360,000 square feet of office space. Developers include Acadia Realty Trust, MacFarlane Partners, Rose Associates, P/A Associates and Washington Square Partners. A proposed Forest City Ratner building, the Rezno Piano-designed City Tech Tower, could also become Brooklyn’s tallest tower, with plans reportedly calling for it to reach anywhere from 700 to 1,000 feet.
