Moinian Group buys vacant lot next to its Eleventh Avenue condo

The Moinian Group has purchased a vacant lot at 553 11th Avenue for $24.5 million, next door to its 46-story, 478-unit Atelier condominium at 627 West 42nd Street, according to public records. Moinian bought the property, formerly a gas station, from ExxonMobil. The Costas Kondylis-designed Atelier, across the street from Larry Silverstein’s One River Place, launched sales in March of last year. Just east of the Atelier, Moinian is building another Kondylis-designed tower at 605-619 West 42nd Street. TRD
