Clinton Recording Studios sells 10th Avenue building

Clinton Recording Studios, where Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen have recorded, has sold its building at 653 10th Avenue for $9.8 million, according to public records. The studio’s owner, Edward Rakowicz, could not immediately be reached for comment. The buyer’s name was not disclosed on the deed. Films that have been scored at Clinton Recording Studios, which is at West 46th Street, include The Aviator, Dream Girls and High Fidelity. Other musicians who have recorded there include Paul Simon, Tony Bennett, Tito Puente and Lenny Kravitz. TRD
