The former home of Penthouse founder Bob Guccione, known as
the Milbank Mansion, has finally sold, but for less
than the city’s townhouse record of $53 million. Property investor Philip
Falcone reportedly got the $59 million asking price down to below $50 million. The
22,000-square-foot, 27-room townhouse at 14-16 East 67th Street had been on and
off the market for six years. The record, set by set by a 25,000-square-foot home on East 75th Street bought by investment banker J. Christopher Flowers in 2006, could still be broken soon. The 15-bedroom Henry Sloane Mansion on East 68th Street has an asking price of $64 million.
