The MTA has announced that Brookfield Properties is out of the running to develop Hudson Yards. Brookfield did not resubmit its proposal by today’s deadline. The developer will still be quite active in the neighborhood. Just east of the West Side Rail Yards, Brookfield will build two big office towers called Manhattan West, designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill.
