The two remaining units at Julian Schnabel’s bright red Palazzo Chupi in the West Village are no longer for sale by owner. Unlike past sales, the units – a $27 million duplex and $32 million triplex – are now being handled by Brown Harris Stevens broker Paddington Zwigard and sales associate Debra Ortega. Schnabel, who lives in the building, had initially said he wanted to avoid using brokers in order to keep the atmosphere more private. The development will retain its exclusivity, however, as interested buyers will still be screened by Schnabel, and this weekend’s open house will be appointment-only.
