West Village townhouse sells for $11.6 million

Lawrence M. Clark Jr., managing director and director of investments at Harbinger Capital Partners, bought a West Village townhouse at 336 West 12th Street for $11.6 million, according to city records. The 6,432-square-foot property was built in 1905. The sellers were Richard and Judith Kingman, who own the Chelsea restaurant Alley’s End, at 17th Street and near Eighth Avenue.

Brownstone Advisors founder buys brownstone on Upper East Side

Matthew C. Brown, managing director of the Fairfield Greenwich Group hedge fund and founder of Brownstone Advisors, bought a brownstone at 12 East 78th Street with his wife, Marisa Noel Brown, for $13.5 million. Brown founded Brownstone Advisors, which invested in hedge funds before merging with Fairfield Greenwich Group. The 4,750-square-foot townhouse was built around 1900.

515 Park Avenue condo sells for $10.95 million

Derek Peter Althorp, chairman and executive director Datacraft Asia, sold unit 21 at 515 Park Avenue, the Zeckendorf limestone and beige-brick Tower That Became Park Avenue‘s tallest building in 2000. The 3,228-square-foot unit sold for $3,392. The buyer was listed as Medallion, Inc. TRD
