Doctoroff can work on big projects

Former Deputy Mayor Daniel Doctoroff can remain involved in Moynihan Station, Hudson River Park and Governors Island, following a ruling from the city’s Conflicts of Interest Board. The ruling made no mention of Hudson Yards. In January, Doctoroff left City Hall to run Bloomberg LP, the financial news company founded by Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The new ruling isn’t unprecedented: back in December, the board granted a waiver for Doctoroff to continue working on Moynihan Station during his last weeks as deputy mayor. The new waiver, which allows Doctoroff to work on Moynihan Station until June 30, mirrors that one. Doctoroff must recuse himself from Bloomberg’s LP’s ongoing negotiations for more space with Vornado, the developer behind Moynihan Station. Bloomberg cannot represent Bloomberg L.P. before any executive agency before January 2009. TRD
