An unidentified buyer paid $30 million for a penthouse condominium with a balcony at 15 Central Park West, according to city records posted online today. The 5,870-square-foot, four-bedroom apartment went into contract in September 2005 and closed on April 9. The apartment, which has a 1,112-square-foot balcony, faces east, south and west. The buyer, listed on the deed only as DJDDT Properties, also paid $690,000 for a smaller unit. The condo is the third most expensive unit to sell in the building, behind hedge fund manager Daniel S. Loeb’s penthouse 39 for $45 million, and penthouse 20, which sold for $42.4 million Citigroup chairman emeritus Sanford Weill and his wife Joan. Last month, The Real Deal took an in-depth look at who bought what in the elite tower.
