An upscale travel agency owner bought a next-door neighbor’s condominium unit for $3.9 million in a Richard Meier-designed building at 165 Charles Street in the West Village, according to property records posted today.
Michael Holtz, the owner of Smart Flyer, bought the unit from James Lansill, senior managing director at Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group, on May 30.
Holtz paid $3.3 million for his original unit, which he bought in October 2005, while Lansill bought his unit in the same month for $2.95 million.
In March, the Observer reported that Holtz flipped a 15 Central Park West condo he bought for $4.86 million for $8.5 million.
Holtz was also one of the first full-time resident in another Meier building across the street, the Perry Street towers at 173-176 Perry Street, where bought a unit in 2003 for $2.1 million.
