Gottlieb estate still holding properties

William Gottlieb strategy of buying up dilapidated buildings in the West Village and never selling them has been carried on even after his death. The executor of Gottlieb’s $1 billion in property bought 79 Horatio Street for $7.4 million at a public auction. Gottlieb was a co-owner of the building with Vicky Gabay, who wanted to sell the building after Gottlieb’s death in 1999.
