Brooklyn Children’s Museum opens today

The Brooklyn Children’s Museum opened today, with city officials and local schoolchildren at its ribbon cutting. It will open to the general public this weekend. The $49 million building was built with green building materials and energy-saving devices like light and heat sensors. The museum is the first LEED-certified museum in the city.
