The Related Companies and the Signature Theatre Company announced yesterday the two
companies reached an agreement in which Signature will build three theaters at
the base of Related’s new 58-story hotel and residential tower at 42nd Street and 10th Avenue. The plans include two 199-seat
theaters and one 299-seat theater with interior designs by Frank Gehry. Related said
the tower, with 623 rental units and 151 condos, would open in 2011. The $900
million project depends on a zoning change.
