Whole Foods announced it will work with a developer, who the grocery store chain did not identify, to finish its site at Third Avenue and Third Street in Gowanus. The food market said over the summer that its revenues had been
declining
, and pollutants found at the Gowanus site had also slowed
construction there. Once the site has been developed, Whole Foods may become the only tenant, or it could bring other businesses to the space.
