After CB Richard Ellis, Cushman & Wakefield, Prudential Douglas
Elliman and the Corcoran Group canceled company-wide holiday parties,
the New York Observer polled 10 of the city’s other top real estate
companies, including Brown Harris Stevens, Williams Real Estate
(formerly GVA Williams) and the Clarett Group, and found that all of
them plan to go forward with their holiday parties. Company managers
said they wanted to host the parties to boost morale. But several
companies, including Silverstein Properties and Bellmarc Realty, have
scaled back their holiday events. Silverstein will be holding a
cocktail party rather than a sit-down dinner, and Bellmarc is holding
smaller parties at the firm’s neighborhood offices.
