High Line supporters urge developers to save the structure

Supporters of the High Line appeared at a recent public meeting to urge
the development team of the Related Companies and Goldman Sachs to
preserve the northern portion of the former elevated railway, at 10th
Avenue and West 30th Street. The meeting had been planned to discuss
the developers’ request for zoning changes at the site, where
commercial Buildings And A Plaza are planned. High Line supporters
urged the developer to leave the High Line section in place as a piece
of history.
