MTA won’t give stimulus money to Ratner

February 18, 2009 01:03PM

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority confirmed yesterday that the agency won’t give developer Bruce Ratner any of the MTA’s allocated federal stimulus funds. Ratner was reportedly lobbying for a portion of the stimulus money to go toward his $4 billion Atlantic Yards project. Ratner may still be able to get some of the federal stimulus money to be doled out by the governor. The state’s $24.6 billion portion of the federal stimulus bill contains $3.9 billion for infrastructure and energy projects. The $787 billion federal stimulus package was signed into law yesterday.
