Openings and closings: Eneslow to open this month, Vinyl Market closes

Baja Fresh, a Mexican fast-food chain, has taken 2,600 square feet at 465 Lexington Avenue, between 45th and 46th streets, for its first Manhattan location, according to Kenji Ota of Newmark Knight Frank Retail, who represented Baja Fresh. Eneslow, a retailer specializing in orthopedic shoes, signed a 15-year lease for 2,000 square feet at 1504 Second Avenue, between 78th and 79th streets. Pizza Plus NYC recently signed a 10-year lease at 707 Ninth Avenue, between 48th and 49th streets. Gracious Home has opened an annex at 45 West 25th Street, next to the Gracious Home store that opened in October. The owner of Aurora in Williamsburg and Aurora Soho will open an Italian restaurant and pizza place, Emporio, within the next two weeks in Nolita. A convenience store is coming to 149 First Avenue. In Brooklyn, a Middle Eastern restaurant will take over 407 Myrtle Avenue, the former site of the Crab Inn. A wine, cheese and tapas bar may open in September in the former Trailer Park space. Royal Fried Chicken, at Rockaway Parkway and Rutland Road in Brownsville, has renamed itself Obama Fried Chicken. Amid the openings, Vinyl Market on East 10th Street, west of First Avenue, seems to be closed. Jeweler Niwaka is closing its store on Fifth Avenue and 49th Street. In Brooklyn, Ola Baby Naturale on Court Street has closed, and there is a “for rent” sign on the building. TRD
