Openings and reopenings: Swing to open in Harlem, Bar Blanc to reopen with new name

Chase is “coming soon” to the retail portion of 15 Central Park West, according to a sign on the building, near the West Elm that opened last month. Swing will hold its Harlem store opening on May 14, according to a press release. Bodhi Tree is slated to open next week at 58 Third Avenue, near 10th Street, in the East Village. Krizia opened a new store at 805 Madison Avenue last week, and several other retailers will open on Madison Avenue this spring. In Brooklyn, fast-food restaurant Checkers will open on Court Street in mid-May. Pastry chef Melissa Murphy is considering opening another location of her bake shop, Sweet Melissa, in Brooklyn Heights. Wink, a green salon on Vanderbilt Avenue in Prospect Heights, opens today. Several restaurants have been renamed recently. In Red Hook, Tini Wine Bar, which just moved five blocks, has been renamed home/made. Union Square’s Sal Anthony’s Raw also has a new name, Adelina. Bar Blanc closed today and will reopen Wednesday night as Bar Blanc Bistro. TRD
