The five-story townhouse at 42 West 12th Street that once belonged to 19th-century New York City Mayor Ambrose Kingsland, and is near Jimi Hendrix’s old home, has sold. The last listing price of the 8,100-square-foot home, which is between Fifth and Sixth avenues, was $17.95 million. According to Streeteasy.com, the home was originally listed for $22.75 million in January 2008, and went into contract in January of this year. The final sales price was not given. Brown Harris Stevens’ Paula Del Nunzio had the listing. The 1860 townhouse has seven fireplaces, terraces on four floors and a penthouse level with a solarium.
