Biggest price cut of the day

The home to see the biggest price cut today is the Barclay’s Mansion, a
townhouse at 5 East 78th Street, between Fifth and Madison avenues,
according to Streeteasy.com. The price of the six-story home, which is
in a historic district, was lowered by $2.5 million, and the unit is
now on the market for $18.5 million. It is listed for almost 12 percent
less than its last listing price of $21 million when it went on the
market in February. According to Streeteasy.com, the home was
originally put on the market in April 2008 for $23 million and entered into
contract in June, but no sale is recorded. The 13,000-square-foot
townhouse has seven bedrooms, a full basement and a roof deck. Brown
Harris Stevens’ Edward Lee Cave
