Two Boots will open in a few weeks on Ninth Avenue between 44th and 45th streets. The Baja Fresh location on Lexington Avenue and 45th Street is slated to open the day after Memorial Day. The first guests have begun checking in to the Ace Hotel, and the hotel’s bar is rumored to be opening Friday. The owners of the former Florent space have been granted permission to open 69 Gansevoort Cafe. The Italian restaurant set to open next Tuesday, co-owned by Andrew Carmellini and Robert De Niro, in the Greenwich Hotel at 377 Greenwich Street will be called Locanda Verde. A pop-up store called One Trip Pass will open in the Billy Reid store at 54 Bond Street for 10 days beginning tomorrow. Pinisi, a cafe/bakery, is open on First Avenue between 1st and 2nd streets. A Mexican restaurant is coming to Fourth Avenue near 13th Street. Tasti-D-Lite announced yesterday that it will add 35 franchised locations in the New York City area over the next decade. Totonno’s, which closed after a fire in mid-March, has pushed back its reopening date to mid-July. In New Jersey, an artists’ market is coming to the Grove Street PATH stop in Jersey City. Amid these openings, QDT, a bar at 111 Reade Street in Tribeca, has closed. MaryAnn’s on Eighth Avenue in Chelsea is closed until tomorrow or Friday following a kitchen flood. TRD
