Brokerages tap Valerie Haboush to write listings, bios

Barbara Corcoran hired Valerie Haboush to write property listings and broker bios.

To write property listings and broker bios, many firms call on Valerie Haboush, who has written thousands of items for the Corcoran Group and Prudential Douglas Elliman, as well as Sotheby’s International Realty, Warburg Realty, Brown Harris Stevens and Halstead Property. Haboush first got into the business when she met Corcoran founder Barbara Corcoran through the Young Presidents’ Organization and started writing Corcoran’s broker profiles. Some of her rules include not mentioning dates of past jobs if a broker is new to New York City, and never discussing politics or religion. Some agents have even hired Haboush to do other tasks. One agent paid her to write a profile for dating Web site Match.com, and others have had her write college application essays for their children.
