Openings and closings: La Cense burger truck coming to Midtown, B4 may be evicted

A Kogi truck opened for a planned one-hour window today at 55th Street and Lexington Avenue. Designer Concepts Distribution has signed a lease for the entire ground floor at 141 West 36th Street, according to a press release. Montana-based sustainable farm La Cense will launch a burger truck in Midtown next week. A second Vinny Vincenz Pizza Mobile truck will be making nightly stops in the Meatpacking District. The Jane Hotel & Ballroom will open tomorrow at 113 Jane Street. Vietnamese restaurant An Choi has opened its outdoor patio space at 85 Orchard Street between Broome and Grand streets. The Italian Food Center at 186 Grand Street now features an outdoor raw bar. Alife Presents is slated to open a gallery and event space at 157 Rivington Street June 11. Aguila and Sol will occupy the former Marion’s Continental space on the Bowery and East 4th Street. Italian restaurant Spina will open at 175 Avenue B at the corner of 11th Street. Taiwanese chain Quickly has opened a new location at 11 Pell Street.

In Brooklyn, green Chinese take-out restaurant Michael & Ping’s Modern Chinese Take-Out will open at 163 8th Street, according to a press release. Nature’s Grill will open its second location at 138 Court Street in Cobble Hill.

Amid these openings, Financial District pub B4 at 50 New Street may face eviction. The now-vacant former Waldorf Hysteria space at 165 Avenue B is being renovated. TRD
