Architect Frank Gehry will not be designing any of the planned 17 buildings in the Atlantic Yards project, a spokesperson for the architect said. Last week developer Bruce Ratner announced that Gehry would not be designing the arena in the project, but now the architect won’t be involved in any of the buildings, which he has worked on for the past six years. Ratner said the designs cost too much. Gehry has already been paid tens of millions of dollars for his work on the Atlantic Yards, and a Ratner spokesperson said that his master plan for the development and his guidelines will remain in place.
