Landlords need to spruce up properties

Landlords are being forced to negotiate and renovate as rents drop and vacancies increase, Rent.com’s Peggy Abkemier told Fox News. Abkemier said renting, rather than owning, can be a smart move in this economic climate, and renters can make a case with their landlords for concessions because it’s a renter’s market. Landlords can renovate and spruce up their rental properties to make sure they are attractive to prospective renters, Abkemier said.
