Singer John Legend has signed a contract for an East Village apartment listed for $2.3 million. The 1,300-square-foot, one-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment is on East 4th Street and the Bowery. The final sales price is unknown, but a similar apartment in the building sold for $2.5 million in June. Frederik Eklund of Core Group Marketing represented the building. Jason Walker of Prudential Douglas Elliman represented Legend and has the listing for Legend’s current East Village condo, on the market for $1.2 million. Legend said he plans to move into the apartment in November.
