The winner of the hotly contested Aqueduct casino and racetrack development bid in Ozone Park, Queens, is expected to be announced Sept. 29. The six bidders, including Vegas mega-mogul Steve Wynn, are expected to be notified via an announcement from Governor David Paterson and Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver. The project of developing the 210-acre site comes with the caveat of a $370 million fee upfront, a financial burden that ultimately sidelined the first developer tapped for the project, Delaware North.
