Bernard Madoff’s bad press seems to have had little effect on his Montauk property. According to the vacation home’s listing agent, the Corcoran Group’s Joan Hegner, the beachfront home has seen over a dozen possible buyers in the scant few days since it first hit the market. The home has garnered so much attention that Hegner has set up a dedicated phone line for the $8.75 million listing and has required all potential buyers to provide proof that they are financially viable candidates.
