Composer Adam Guettel, who won a Tony award for “The Light in the Piazza,” has closed on a $3.495 million co-op at the Osborne building at 205 West 57th Street. The seller of the four-bedroom apartment was clothing store mogul Marcy Syms. Guettel won’t be the first composer to live in the apartment. Leonard Bernstein lived there when he wrote the music for “West Side Story,” and he later sold the apartment to musician Bobby Short. Katie Rosenberg of Warburg Realty had the listing.  [Post, 3rd item]
