A Park Avenue duplex belonging to oil industry executive Thomas Edelman is on the market for $11 million, after a $6 million, or 34 percent, price cut. The 11-room apartment, on the eighth floor of the coveted Rosario Candela-designed 770 Park Avenue, has high ceilings, herringbone floors, a wood-burning fireplace and a 14-by-17-foot gallery entryway, but overlooks East 73rd Street rather than Park Avenue. Edelman purchased a larger duplex across the street last year for a cool $22 million, which got him over 100 feet directly facing Park Avenue. [NYT]
