Openings and closings: Mario Pizza opens, Deluxa closes … and more

In the Financial District, new pub the Open Door is welcoming customers at 110 John Street between Pearl and Gold streets.

On the Lower East Side, a Thai restaurant will soon open at 169 Bowery Street near the corner of Delancey Street. Cheeky Sandwiches is opening at 35 Orchard Street near Hester Street. Mario’s Pizza has opened at 147 East Houston Street near the corner of Eldridge Street.

New dessertery, Led Zeppole, is opening in the East Village at 328 East 14th Street between First and Second avenues.

In the West Village, a new spot known as Basis has installed some signage on 14th Street between Eighth and Ninth avenues.

Insiders say that the Disney store is close to inking a lease at 1540 Broadway between 45th and 46th streets.

On the Upper West Side, a Pure Yoga location has opened at 204 West 77th Street at the corner of Amsterdam Avenue.

In Brooklyn, Williamsburg will soon welcome a new Duane Reade on the corner of Bedford Avenue and North 3rd Street. In Flatbush, restaurant 65 Fen is set to open this weekend at 65 Fenimore Street. New restaurant Kohzee Café has opened in Park Slope on the corner of Sixth Avenue and 7th Street. Also in Park Slope, Café 474 has opened at 474 Fourth Avenue.

In the Hamptons, rumors are swirling that a casino could set up shop in Southampton.

Amidst the openings, there have been some closings.

In Brooklyn, Clinton Hill vintage boutique Blue Bass has closed its doors on the corner of Classon and DeKalb streets. In Cobble Hill, boutique shop Deluxa will be closing its shop at 187 Sackett Street between Henry and Hicks streets and moving to a new Williamsburg location.
