Openings and closings: Dino opens, Floridita Tapas closes … and more

In Soho, a women’s clothing store called JNBY is coming to 75 Greene Street, according to a press release. A “rustic trattoria” is slated to open in the space once occupied by a bar called the Falls on 218 Lafayette Street.

A restaurant with sidewalk seating called Hung Ry America will be opening in a former boutique space at 401 East 13th Street near First Avenue in the East Village.

In Greenwich Village, a popular Thai restaurant called Rhong Tiam has been shuttered by the Department of Health at 541 Laguardia Place between Bleecker and West 3rd streets.

In the West Village, an international newsstand and café called Hudson Square Mart will open at 225 Varick Street between Carmine and Downing streets, according to a press release. A Maryland-style seafood restaurant called Choptank is slated to open Monday in the old Bar Q space at 308 Bleecker Street near Grove Street.

Upscale chocolatier MarieBelle New York will open a location on the third floor of the Limelight Marketplace at 47 West 20th Street near Sixth Avenue in the Flatiron District.

has opened on 52nd Street between Lexington and Third Avenues in Midtown. A second location of Bill’s Bar & Burger will open at 45 Rockefeller Plaza in the former Tuscan Square space. A new bistro called Matisse has arrived at 924 Second Avenue between 49th and 50th streets. 

In Brooklyn, an Italian restaurant called Dino will open in the old LouLou space at 222 Dekalb Avenue in Fort Greene. Mediterranean restaurant Okeanos has opened on Seventh Avenue near 8th Street in Park Slope. Also in the area, a coffee shop called Cafe 474 has opened on Fourth Avenue between 10th and 11th streets.
 
Amid these openings, there have been two closings. Dunkin Donuts has shuttered on Second Avenue between 10th and 11th streets and up in Harlem, Floridita Tapas has shuttered on 125th Street and Broadway.
