Openings and closings: Dry Dock opens, Vento closes … and more

In Chelsea, Eater brings word at a new Dunkin’ Donuts location will be opening on the corner of 23rd Street and Sixth Avenue.

A new Indian restaurant called Tamba Indian Grill & Bar is opening in Murray Hill at 103 Lexington Avenue between 26th and 27th streets.

On the Lower East Side, a new Mediterranean restaurant called Balaboosta is opening at 214 Mulberry Street between Prince and Spring streets.

In the rolling real estate world, the country’s first vegan organic food truck, known as the Cinnamon Snail, is opening in Hoboken.

After closing temporarily due to tax problems, Gothamist brings word that three separate customers hosted fundraisers to save Bread Stuy, a coffee shop at 403 Lewis Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant. In Red Hook, Dry Dock wine shop has opened at 424 Van Brunt Street on the corner of Van Dyke Street. In Williamsburg, a new eatery called Le Comptoir is opening in the spring at 251 Grand Street. Also in Williamsburg, a new wine bar called the Counting Room is opening at 4 Berry Street on the corner of 11th Street.

In the West Village, New Orleans-style eatery Lucy Browne’s at 225 Varick Street on the corner of Downing Street has closed. Nearby, at 675 Hudson Street, Vento will reopen in April as a Dos Caminos, the fourth location for the popular Mexican eatery in New York City.
