Openings and closings: La Fonda opens, Laundromat closes … and more

Williamsburg beer garden Radegast is expanding at 113 North 3rd Street to include the adjacent restaurant space. The expansion should be complete in two or three months, according to Eater.

In Queens, the Foodista realizes that the new Pitaria restaurant at
31-15 30th Avenue used to be Astoria Pizzeria.

In East Harlem, a new 24-hour Mexican restaurant called La Fonda will be arriving on
Lexington Avenue and 103rd Street in the space that was a 24-hour
diner, according to East Harlem NYC.

On the Upper West Side, a slew of restaurants are opening and a bunch
are closing, according to Westside Independent. Openings include Prime
KO, Graffit And Gazala Place and closings include New York Haircutters, as well as Custom Interiors.

The Carlton Hotel 88 Madison Avenue on the corner of 29th Street will become home to Millesime, a two-level French-inspired seafood
restaurant, according to the Post, although a lease has not been
finalized.

“Today” reporter Tiki Barber has opened Flywheel indoor cycling gym at
39 West 21st Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues.

In the East Village, the former Dance Tracks on Third Street near
First Avenue will house a vintage clothing store, EV Grieve says. 

In Avalon Bowery Place Rental Complex On First Street and Extra Place in the
East Village, a Tashkent by cheyenne showroom has opened. 

Michael Huynh’s D.O.B., which will serve French Vietnamese cuisine,
will be opening on St. Mark’s Place at the site of the former
Australian Homemade.

After 30 years on the Upper West Side, the Laundromat at 228 West 75th Street on the corner of Broadway is closing its doors Feb. 24.
