The World Center Hotel opened today at 144 Washington Street, offering guests floor-to-ceiling window views of the Ground Zero construction site just yards way, the Post reported. The 169-room hotel offers closer views of the World Trade
Center site than just about any other spot in Lower Manhattan. Guests have been staying there for several months as construction has been completed floor by floor. Mayor Michael Bloomberg proclaimed it “World Center Hotel Day.” [Post]
