Jamie Tisch closes on $22M Park Ave. pad

Socialite and philanthropist Jamie Tisch has closed on her new 720 Park Avenue pad on the corner of 70th Street for $22 million, according to city records. The five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom co-op, unit 4A, was reported to have gone into contract in late March.

The ex-wife of New York Giants owner and movie producer Steve Tisch was represented by Brown Harris Stevens’ John Burger. The seller, Susan Sassower, also used Brown Harris Stevens, tapping agents Nancy Elias and Cathy Franklin. The agents either were unavailable for comment or directed inquiries to an agency spokesperson.

The spokesperson confirmed the deal but declined to comment further.

The listing, which was originally put on the market in November 2008 for $33 million, according to real estate listing site Streeteasy.com, includes three wood burning fireplaces and a formal dining room, while the building contains a squash court and wine cellar. The unit’s last asking price was $27.5 million, according to Streeteasy.com.
