Shake Shack Miami Beach makes its debut

New York City-based Shake Shack, a popular hot dog and frozen custard joint, is expanding beyond its hometown. The fast food phenom is set to open today at 1111 Lincoln Road in Miami Beach, reports say. The chain, owned by famed restaurateur Danny Meyer and his Union Square Hospitality Group, has seen the debut of multiple new branches recently, but the Miami Beach outpost is Meyer’s first venture outside New York City. The new location was designed by SITE Environmental Design’s Denise Lee and James Wines, who used recycled and sustainable materials to build out the spot. [SFBJ]
