Montauk’s East Deck Motel hits the market

Montauk’s East Deck Motel has hit the market for $20 million — the
first offering of the five-acre, oceanfront Ditch Plains property since
it made its debut in the 1950s, Newsday reported. The motel’s 30 units
are all already spoken for this summer, but despite the demand, listing
broker Chris Coleman of the Corcoran Group said it “has run its course,
and the family is now moving on.” The property has an Olympic-sized
pool and two bedroom managers’ quarters in addition to the guest rooms.
The nearby Montauket Hotel also recently hit the market for $17.5
million. [Newsday]
