Barbara Corcoran and her husband, William Higgins, have purchased a $900,000 two-bedroom apartment on the ground floor of her prewar Park Avenue co-op at 94th Street, which they plan to use for a home office, according to the New York Times. The Corcoran Group founder-turned-media mogul bargained the price down from $975,000, which was what listing brokers Steven Parrino and William Blind of Brown Harris Stevens were asking for the unit. According to the listing, it “needs TLC, but has great potential.” Corcoran’s apartment upstairs, on the 14th floor of 1192 Park Avenue, is a 3,500-square-foot, three-bedroom spread with two maids’ rooms that she bought for $3.5 million in 2000. Corcoran also owns a condo at 163 East 71st Street, which she bought with her husband in 2008 for $4 million. [NYT]
