Bloomberg announces town hall-style meetings for city planning

Mayor Michael Bloomberg has announced a series of five community meetings across the city to discuss PlaNYC, the Bloomberg administration’s program to accommodate an expected one million-person population growth in New York City over the next 20 years. The first meeting will be held today in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Bloomberg said that the program is being held in an effort to strategically plan the city’s expansion over the next two decades. “We now have the opportunity to review and improve [our] transformation,” he said.
