Miami-Dade County Circuit Court Judge Pedro Echarte found that
allegations by contractors at the troubled Filling Station lofts project
that they had been defrauded had not been sufficiently addressed,
meaning the case could head to a jury trial. Judge Echarte ruled
Thursday to deny foreclosure proceedings filed in the case, paving the
way for a trial. The 10-story building, which is located at 1650 North
Miami Court, is an incomplete shell. The case will now undergo
additional hearings and a possible jury trial over fraud allegations by
the contractors. [Miami
