The leasing office at Monaco — Jersey City’s latest new residential tower and the tallest rental building in New Jersey — is slated to open in February, development team Roseland Property, Garden State Development and Hartz Mountain Industries has announced. The 523-unit, 50-story project consists of two towers designed by SLCE Architects, which are scheduled for completion in early spring, when they’ll eclipse the LeFrak Organization’s nearby Towers of America complex as the tallest rentals in the state. Amenities include a 24-hour concierge and valet service, fitness center, theater and a heated outdoor pool and landscaped sundeck. Rents will range from $1,600 for a studio to $5,300 for a three-bedroom penthouse. “Monaco was the last building financed in 2008 before the economic downturn,” Carl Goldberg, a partner at Roseland, noted. “The [rental market] on the Gold Coast has been particularly strong since the for-sale market began struggling, and already we have accumulated a large list of prospective residents.” TRD
