Less than a week after allegations of hoarding and favoritism by National Arts Club president O. Aldon James emerged, the eccentric club leader dominated a recent board of governors meeting, rambling for three hours without letting others speak, according to DNAinfo. James arrived at the Friday evening meeting with bodyguards and a video camera, refusing to address recent accusations of charging below-market rent to friends and family members at the organization’s clubhouse at 15 Gramercy Park South, where he has reportedly been stashing piles of his personal property. “His behavior was erratic,” a board member said of James. “He spoke the entire time with barely a breath. Nobody else could say anything.” [DNAinfo]
