Bloomberg L.P. nabs 400,000-sf office

Bloomberg L.P. — the parent company of Bloomberg Businessweek and Bloomberg Television, among other news outlets — has inked a deal to lease 400,000 square feet of office space at 120 Park Avenue on the corner of 42nd Street. A spokesperson for the company said it plans to move into the new office later this year, following renovations. The new lease is part of a global growth strategy for the company, which was founded by Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The media firm recently announced plans to build its new, 500,000-sqaure-foot European headquarters in London. Peter Grauer, chairman of Bloomberg, said that the new office “position[s] ourselves for future growth.” It was not immediately clear who brokered the deal and what the rent was. TRD
