BHS exec to head Brooklyn sales at Halstead

A former vice president and director at Brown Harris Stevens has been named director of sales for Brooklyn at sister company Halstead Property, Halstead announced today.

Starting July 11, Trish Martin will manage Halstead’s offices in Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill and Boerum Hill with a goal of enhancing the presence of the firm in the borough.

Martin is replacing Roberta Benzilio, who has been promoted to executive director for Terra Development Marketing, a new company overseeing new developments for Halstead and Brown Harris.

On Tuesday, The Real Deal broke the news about the formation of the new Terra company, to be headed by Stephen Kliegerman, President of new development marketing at Halstead Property and Brown Harris Stevens.

“We are delighted to bring an experienced and highly respected broker like Trish to our executive team,´ said Diane Ramirez, president of Halstead. “ In the last few years, we have strengthened our presence in Brooklyn with the addition of a new office and recruitment of new agents.”

Jim Gricar, general sales manager for Halstead added: “Trish is well-known in the brokerage community for her meticulous attention to detail and incredible customer service. She is the ideal candidate.”

Before joining BHS, Martin founded an interior project management company working with clients like Tiffany & Co., the Food Network and MoMA. TRD
